Next week is already bursting with information and fun for all. Tuesday afternoon at 3.15 p.m. we have our Y4 parent information session held in our classroom. Alongside that the book fair will be running in the assembly hall. Don't forget school is closed on Monday too for a staff training day.

Practical work with times tables

Numeracy Day

We have started numeracy day early! It's going to be a full week of practical work in Year 4B using pumpkins to investigate, weight, measures, number, floating and sinking..... the list is endless!

We found out that all our pumpkins floated because they were full of air!

We took all the seeds out of the pumpkins and sorted them into groups of ten to count them.

There were a lot of seeds so we grouped them in tens so we could count them more easily.

World Around Us
We are making models of the solar system in class to help us learn the order of the planets and their features.
We have been developing our ability to work as part of a team with Chris this week. It is important to look and listen and always watch where we are going so we don't miss good spaces that we can move into!
We are working on place value, number bonds and graphs in our maths centres.

We had a fantastic time celebrating Roald Dahl Day!

We spent the whole day completing practical activities that helped us learn about Roald Dahl himself, the books he wrote and the many characters he wrote about.
