Measurement Cluster Task

Each child received a card with a measurement fact.  They had to move around the classroom and compare their facts, if they made a link with another card they formed a cluster.  We the. Recorded our findings on a whiteboard and presented to the rest of the class. 

Vitruvian Man Investigation

We have been learning about different ways to measure and how to convert measurements.  As part of our active learning we thought about Leonardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man and investigated his claims that different body measurements  when multiplied equal the persons height.  For example the measurement of your open hand from the tip of your longest finger to your wrist is a tenth of your height...try it out at home...
