The Jolly Postman
We have been exploring the different characters in the story, ‘The Jolly Postman.’ We worked in groups and came up with describing words for each character.
Writing a Letter
We received an exciting letter from Baby Bear. He wrote to ask us for some help in finding out who broke his chair, bed and ate his porridge. We learned how to write a letter and we were able to tell Baby Bear that it was Goldilocks.
Instructions
This week we made toast in class- it was delicious! We then had to give Mrs Brownlee the step by step instructions for making toast. We explored the language, first, next, then and last. The boys and girls taught Mrs Brownlee very well!
Ap Words
This week we have been learning words in the ‘ap’ family. We have been word building and learning how to spell these words. Well done boys and girls in Y2.
Room on the Broom
This week our story has been ‘Room on the Broom’. We enjoyed matching the words that rhyme, describing the witch and finishing off with making delicious witches hats- yummy!
